3rd semester starts tomorrow?!

My SOPHOMORE YEAR starts tomorrow! I'm taking the Writings of Isaiah, Food Preparation in the Home, and Anatomy. I'm hoping it won't be too crazy!!! Today was quite productive. I had a blood draw, picked up textbooks, went grocery shopping, did some cooking, tried to go to the gym but it was closed, and am trying to figure out how to get better internet connection. Here's a snapshot of my day!

All moved in.

The past few days have been crazy. Since pictures are worth one thousand words, I'll let them do the talking. But, to sum everything up: I moved out of Helaman Halls, after several nights of last shenanigans with the best friends I've ever made. S, C, and M-you will be missed this Spring and Summer! I moved into Santa Barbara Villa with these two crazy hooligans. I think Spring is going to be crazy and fun and hectic and my first adventure of living, cooking, and cleaning on my own. Here we go!

Last dinner in the Cannon!

Last chance to check mail!

BYU semifinals match-since this picture we won our
conference championship! go cougs!

Should be done tonight!!!

I just came back from taking Book of Mormon, and should take New Testament tonight and be DONE! Yesterday was Spanish, and I got a 90! Woohoo! BoM today was a B, which I was kind of disappointed with, but what's done is done!

Last night was fun, because Spanish had gone so well and we (some Chipman girls and older brothers and friends from the Riv) watched Mission Impossible and it actually was impossible! We started out watching it on a projector in one of the JKB classrooms, but then it died so we had to go to a laptop, which ran out of batteries, and then an iPad. But we finished it in the end!

We also said goodbye to C, who left to head back home before he leaves to go to the MTC in exactly a week and a day! So crazy that I won't see that kid for two years!!

awkward family photo style..

we even interrupted our trip to the gym to say bye!
have fun in Tahiti!

late night selfies...oh yeah.
looking good s!

So close to the end!

I apologize for my sporadic postings...with finals and moving out and moving in to our new apartment, things probably won't be super regular! So just check back every once in a while and see what's new. The weekend update: I'm done with Chem! And had a great time at men's volleyball's quarterfinal's win and a group date to Classic Skate and In-n-Out!

go cougs!

classic skate! forgot to turn the flash off....

Sunday brought a nice drive up to Deer Creek Reservoir! I'd never been until today, and it definitely put me in the boating mood...

titanic. ya know.
beautiful deer creek reservoir.
And for dinner, we tried out my waffle machine, which works just fine! I can't believe we'll be moving into our apartment in less than a week! So crazy!

waffles!

I'm going to try and take Spanish tomorrow and then Book of Mormon and New Testament Tuesday. Wish me luck!

One final down!!!

Whew! Yesterday got so crazy that I had no time to post! Nothing else to report for Thursday; except more studying went down and T and I went to the gym and then to the airport with C to pick up her brother.

another exciting math review from Thursday

Today: I took my first final for winter semester! It was calc, which hopefully is my LAST MATH CLASS EVER! And to think I thought at one point that I would minor in math....I thought the final went pretty well, I just had some issues with parametric equations. Not fun...I'm trying to go to bed early tonight so I can take Spanish and Chem tomorrow! We'll see how it goes. Wish me luck!

one dead day down.

I'm writing this a little late, actually during part of a math review because I was falling asleep because I had to wake up early this morning for a different review! But you'll hear about that in tonight's post. Yesterday's recap:

I woke up at 9:30! So nice to sleep in. Then it was off to a calc review from 10-1.

very exciting.
After calc and a lunch break, it was off to a chem review from 2-4. But then I got to do fun things, like....not one, but two mission call openings! Congrats W. and S.-they're off to Portland, OR and Denver South, CO!

congrats W!

A yummy dinner at Slab Pizza-they really are slabs!! Two giant pieces!

thanks a and t! fun dinnah togethah!
And back to Chipman to watch S open hers!

woohoo!

Now I'm just trying to survive. I can't believe I'll be moving out of the dorms in a week! Eeek!

last day of classes as a freshman.

How crazy is that?! Today was a pretty good last day of classes. I made it to my Chem lab (last 8 am class! Woohoo!), Book of Mormon, and Calc lab without incident! And I managed to make it over to the Creamery and use my extra meal plan money to get a blender and a waffle iron! College essentials, right?

Tonight was our Amateur Radio Club closing social-A. is the President, and I'm the Vice President, so we were in charge of buying and making the food. And it was DELICIOUS! We did a roast with veggies in dutch ovens, and then a dump cake in dutch ovens as well! Just getting a head start on cooking for myself...

prep time.

about to be cooked!

the feast.

yeah!

P.S.-it was quite the snowy/rainy/sleet day. I do not like Utah's idea of Spring...

the end is near!!

Oh my goodness! I can't believe how fast time has flown this semester. Today was the second-to-last day of classes, with my last Chem, Calc, New Testament, and Spanish lectures. Tomorrow just brings my last Chem lab, Book of Mormon class, and Calc lab. So crazy! And then the dead days start....Wish me luck!

last Y-balloon...

boom!

sunday stroll.

I stayed in Provo for Sunday afternoon/dinner and it wasn't totally horrible! The W's are far better cooks than the Cannon Center, but it wasn't slim pickings like it usually is! After linner, I went on a nice Sunday stroll with T., C., and S., another girl on their floor, up to Bridal Veil Falls. Then it was time for some homework and baking cupcakes for my Spanish class fiesta tomorrow!

group shot!

trout!!! too bad poaching is illegal...

the falls!

a photobomber!!!

all together!

I had a raging headache this afternoon/evening...thank heavens for prescription painkillers left over from my last headache that I thought was a concussion! Maybe it's just dread about upcoming finals....

wild weekend update

Too much to say about this weekend!!!

Thursday: The family came into town from Moab! We did exciting things like taxes, and a trip to SubZero in an attempt to use all my gift cards. And I still have $12 left after taking everyone out!
Went to A's mission call-she's off to Belem, Brazil!

Friday: Did some prom dress shopping for A., then ate lunch at Kneader's (my new favorite spot!!), then spontaneously scheduled a campus tour of BYU for A. I finally got to ride along on those golf carts that I see everywhere!

We made it up to the outlets and then Sandy for dinner with the O's! It was B's birthday on Saturday so we just celebrated a day early at Red Robin. Yum!

Saturday: Woke up, worked out, went to the grocery store with the ARC pres Alex so we could scout out/price estimate what we need for our party on Tuesday. Then it was time to get ready for a reception at Sundance! Congrats E and M! It was super rainy when we first arrived, and you had to walk a little ways to get to the center. We didn't bring umbrellas...oops.
