happy halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! This year, I was a stewardess, and get this-I got to use some REAL wings and even a vintage stewardess hat from my grandma! How awesome is that? We went to our ward's Halloween party, which truthfully was a bit of a bust, but we all dressed up so it was way fun! L went as Dora, C was Katniss, and D was a nerd. I only got a picture of L but just because hers was pretty funny :)

Everyone! I ACTUALLY WON A CONTEST I ENTERED! How exciting is that? It's for a company called SweetGreen and they're a yummy looking café on the East Coast (long story short-some of the other bloggers I follow visited there and blogged about it, so I started following the café! Anyway, on Instagram if you took pictures of your view of fall and tagged it with #sgfall, it entered you in to win some of there cute reusable shopping bags, which of course I wanted. So I did, and saw this earlier today...

And so now I am anxiously awaiting my free tote. And grateful for fun little things that make my day better. Off to bed so I can actually get up for an accounting review tomorrow!

250!

Guys! This is my 250th post on this blog. Can you believe it? Kudos to you who have stuck through it :)

No exciting things to report today, just some grocery shopping and homework, going to an ARC meeting and then hitting up the gym.

Tomorrow brings more homework (sooo exciting I know) and the day before Halloween! So I guess that can count as something cool?

Monday monday monday

Well. Today was not a very good day, and even pretty bad for a Monday. The weather just made it kind of a gloomy, oppressive day and that combined with some stress just wasn't super awesome. But tomorrow should be pretty normal and that's always good!

the BEST WEEKEND EVER

This weekend was so so so much fun. I'm so grateful that I have loving grandparents who will sacrifice their tickets to their grandkids (because I know they want to go to these events :) and put up with me and roommates coming and going throughout the weekend. Plus the fact that I have a car to drive to fun events like this! So without further ado here is a photo recap of our mini-vacation!!

And then today we actually made it up in time to get breakfast, check out of the hotel, and made it to church by 9 o'clock! not too shabby! Then we chatted some more and left for Provo at around 11:30 and were home by 5:15. yeah!

Tomorrow is not going to be fun though...back to reality! At least it was fun while it lasted.

I can't wait! But before I go to bed, a quick recap of today. Homework, studying, a 98 on my Doctrine and Covenants test!!!, essay revision (that's now done! woohoo!), 10/10 on an accounting quiz, and good times with friends. Plus a yummy dinner and a trip to the gym.

Halfway through the week!

Not only is it halfway through the week, but my 12-page Econ homework is done, classes are registered for, and I made it to the gym! Plus I remembered to take pictures throughout the day. Double fist pump.

Monday and Tuesday

So I stayed up way too late on Monday because we had a rocking FHE at the Bishop's! We played some fun games, had a spiritual thought, and ate some delicious rolls that Sister Lewis made. Yum. Plus I made myself a super super good green smoothie for lunch-I think I finally have the hang of them now!

Today was definitely more dramatic then Monday, though! Came home to one of my roommate's helpful running the dishwasher...but with dish soap! Oh no. And we had a good time at Amateur Radio Club tonight! We will hopefully have a build night in two weeks and that should be awesome.

Weekend update

This weekend was really quite uneventful, so one post can more than sum up everything!

Friday: Homework, volunteered with PYM, and finished Lord of the Rings. Now I can cross that off my bucket list!
Saturday: Cleaning check. Hung out with friends. Got my free Starbucks hot chocolate because I had a birthday reward.
Sunday: Church, where L gave a talk and did great! A delicious dinner at the W's, and lots of letters to missionaries.

And my Spanish teacher cancelled class so I just have Humanities Lab and then PYM! Woohoo! I should probably use all that free time to get all my projects done, though, so it won't be very free after all...

I finally made it to yoga today and it was great! Plus I made a yummy tortellini tomato soup tonight that fed our whole apartment. I'd like to think I'm becoming some kind of a cook...

It's only Tuesday...

Good grief it feels like it should be Friday! I studied all day for my Economics test, which I thought went ok, but I won't know how it really went until I find out the curve next week. Now I just have to catch up on homework that didn't get done today. Woohoo...

what a weekend!

What a wonderful warm weekend down in St. George! My grandpa and his wife were getting sealed so we all headed down. I had the opportunity to do baptisms for the dead with my aunt, uncle, and cousin in the St. George and it was beautiful. I'm so grateful that families are forever! We left Friday afternoon and came home Saturday night.

Sunday was the usual, and today I had a ton of reviews for my first Econ midterm which is tomorrow! Wish me luck!

wicked wednesday

Wednesdays are wicked days...because they are the days before all my economics homework for the week is due. And so even though I can do most of it on my own, I usually end up heading to the lab with some questions...and I have to wait like two hours for a TA to help me. And I forget this like every week until Wednesday comes around again...oops.

Tomorrow brings yoga and hopefully just the usual classes/homework. And then it's nearly the weekend...and I'll probably head to St. George! A mini vacation! woohoo!

Tonight was the start of Homecoming week at BYU! As one of BYU's traditions we light up the Y on Y Mountain with a bunch of lightbulbs. I volunteered last year at this event with the Amateur Radio Club and we did it again this year. But I actually had a ton of fun because I ran into a bunch of friends from FOL! Awesome!

taking care of business

That's my new motto! Today was busy busy busy. I had class, an Economics review (our midterm is next week), a meeting about volunteering for Homecoming week's Hike and Light the Y (which is tomorrow!), homework, updating my resume and study abroad app (!), getting ready for and having FHE, hitting the gym, and getting a little more work done before actually going to bed before midnight! Woohoo!
