Sunday swings

Tonight I was able to go visit a dear friend and leader at her house in Holladay for a delicious dinner, some great conversations, and a ride on the most picturesque rope swing ever. It was just the kind of relaxing night I needed to get ready for Labor Day and then the start of school on Tuesday. Thank you Katie!

And how cute are my parents at the Giant's game last night? They've still got it!

Ps-does that hat look familiar? It came via special hand-delivery all the way from Alcalá :)

Moving in and Friday Night

I'm all moved in! Although I swear every time I go to do something (make dinner, grab some clothes, clean) I realize that I want to either a) reorganize everything or b) I don't have what I need (I'm looking at you, frozen chicken). Here's my apartment in progress and pretty much finished. I wish we had taken a before picture, because it really came a long way! But first, how we got to Utah...

awesome mythical car we passed in Tahoe

tah-dah!

And as for today's schedule: submitted more resumes, went to IKEA to pick up a few things, worked the Provo Youth Mentoring booth at the service fair for New Student Orientation, tracked down a food truck or two for T and M, and came back to go to bed early!

And now I'm off to bed so I can hit the gym early tomorrow morning and get all my cleaning chores done :) Then it can be time to play! Here's to a three-day weekend!

Tahoe

Tahoe with the Dobson's was a blast! It was nice and sunny the whole time, although the wind did pick up quite a bit during our trip. What a wonderful way to relax before school started for A, K, and A and I moved back to Utah.

End of McCall/Back to Boise and on to California

Our last couple of days at McCall were full of outdoor adventuring, from picking huckleberries to swimming out to the island. Then we headed back to Boise, had a delicious dessert of cinnamon rolls with Grandma and Papa O, and went to bed early so we could leave by 4:30 am (yikes!). But we made it home to California by 4:15 pm, so we made great time!

And now that we're back from one lake, it's off to another! We leave for Tahoe tomorrow to meet the Dobner's up there. Here we go!

McCall update

We made it to Idaho-after stopping in Boise for the weekend to visit with the grandparents, we're now up at McCall! It was pretty hot last night so everyone had trouble sleeping, but after renting a boat for today (and tomorrow), I guarantee we're all going to crash tonight, given all the excitement we had :) See evidence below:

these two plus izzy are too cute.

things are getting crazy!

happy national rootbeer float day!
of course we celebrated :)
And now we're off to bed early to go get up at the crack of dawn-all in the name of smooth water for some ski runs. The rest of the week should bring lots of sun, swimming, and maybe even the famous Olson hike to Snowslide Lake. I'll keep you posted!
