stadium farmer's market

On Thursdays, from 3-7, the football stadium hosts a Provo Farmer's Market in the parking lot. I had been there with some girls in my hall about two or three weeks ago and really enjoyed it, so I took C. and T. today. There were probably double the number of vendors, which was fun to see.
Our little market
I knew that for the drive to Boise tomorrow I would need to pack a dinner, so I figured I might as well get it here and save it for then! Fresh, local and delicious-tomorrow I'll be feasting on orange-cranberry bread with herbed cheese curds (aka squeeky cheese!)and a GIGANTIC fresh Utah peach. Yum :)
There's not just food, though-many of the booths sell homemade clay earrings, or jewelry made out of vintage coins. T. bought her nephew a funky tie-dye onesie at a giant tie-dye booth. Out of this world!
Walking to the stadium is only five minutes, if that-I love that I can still have the opportunity to go to someplace like this and not feel like I'm stuck on campus 24/7.
Later that evening, after homework and a bio review, C. and I headed up to Heritage to start a Wii party and bake some treats. The Wii was fun; cookies, not so much....
I honestly don't know what happened! Luckily there wasn't anyone
I was trying to impress there...
Sad day! They were all mushy and flat, and then once they sat for a few minutes out of the oven they were as hard as rock. I just used the recipe on the back on the chocolate chip bag, since that was all we had, but I think the issue was not enough flour. Oh well..
Unhappy-with-my-cookies face.
We played (ironically enough) the game Wii Party. Even better was the fact that C. just got two new controllers, so that makes four total. Truly a party! We couldn't play in any of our lobbies down at Helaman because everyone was watching the Boise State-BYU game (I knew better than to watch because, truthfully, I already knew how it would end...) instead. So we packed everything up and hiked up to Heritage!
On another note, I received a notification this morning that I had a new package. I honestly did not know what to expect-I knew that there weren't anymore birthday boxes, or any new shipments of instant breakfast. What a surprise when I discovered it was my Young Women's in Excellence Award! I'm glad I finally have it "officially."
Thank you Sister H. for sending it all the way to Provo!
And with that, it's good night, folks. The countdown has begun for the drive to Boise and Train/Andy Grammer/Mat Kearney concert. Can't wait!!
